On Sunday,Mother’s Day attended mass at the Basilica of St.Mary of the Immaculate Conception which is predominantly African American and I heard the best gospel music ever. On Sunday afternoon we went to Nauticus a maritime museum located on the waterfront.Berthed alongside it is the USS Wisconsin.It is the last battleship built for the US Navy. Mermaids are on display throughout downtown. Monday new fuel filters and oil change. Leaving early Tuesday morning to continue North.

Julie Brattset is the author of "They Call My Grandpa Captain". She was born in Chicago, IL. and now lives in Holland, Michigan with her husband, Al Brattset. She enjoys spending the summers on the boat with her family and friends.
Al Brattset is the illustrator of "They Call My Grandpa Captain". He began illustrating in 2012 after completing the "Great Loop". He wanted to share his love of boating with his grandchildren.
