He had an allergic reaction which caused his eyes to swell shut and one hand. Thanks to prednisone he is doing better. Saturday,June 16 we spent the night at Lock #43 Swift Rapids. On Sunday,June 17 we reached Lock#44 the Big Chute.It is the famous maine railway which dates back to 1978. The park staff uses loud speakers to direct you into slings mounted on a railway car and then transported over land to the body of water on the other side.We went to a Father’s Day lunch at the Dam Grill with Don’s grade school friend Mike and his wife Peggy. On Monday morning we went throught the last lock on the Trent Severn. We are now on Georgian Bay.

Julie Brattset is the author of "They Call My Grandpa Captain". She was born in Chicago, IL. and now lives in Holland, Michigan with her husband, Al Brattset. She enjoys spending the summers on the boat with her family and friends.
Al Brattset is the illustrator of "They Call My Grandpa Captain". He began illustrating in 2012 after completing the "Great Loop". He wanted to share his love of boating with his grandchildren.
