[dmalbum path=”/wp-content/uploads/dm-albums/cocoa/”/]On Wednesday,April 18 we arrived at the Cocoa Village Marina.On Thursday night we went to Cape Canaveral to Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar with our new boat buddies,Bill and Betsy Buckand from Pipe Dream II.On Friday we rented a car and drove to Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach named after the astronaut Alan Shepard from there we could see the launch pad.It also has a street named “IDream of Jeanie Lane”.Saturday our friends from Holland arrived. We had cocktails with Dave Dirkse and Mike Stevenson and saw a mama manatee and her calf. On Sunday John and Linda Vialon drove down from Mt. Dora for a visit and to talk about their years at Webb together. On to Daytona Beach in the morning.

Julie Brattset is the author of "They Call My Grandpa Captain". She was born in Chicago, IL. and now lives in Holland, Michigan with her husband, Al Brattset. She enjoys spending the summers on the boat with her family and friends.
Al Brattset is the illustrator of "They Call My Grandpa Captain". He began illustrating in 2012 after completing the "Great Loop". He wanted to share his love of boating with his grandchildren.
