Peterborough Lift Lock #21 is the world’s highest lhydraulic lift.It takes you 65 feet in 2 minutes. We went to Hot Belly Mama’s for Cajun food and Micro Brews. We spent MOnday and Tuesday moored on the wall at the locks and played Mexican train with Don And Bernie. Canal lake is a man made lake with shallows,extreme weed growth and many submerged dead heads. On Wednesday,June 13 the Harem hit one of the submerged dead heads. We made it to Lagoon City Marina on Lake Simcoe where she sits on the travel lift waiting to get her props changed.

Julie Brattset is the author of "They Call My Grandpa Captain". She was born in Chicago, IL. and now lives in Holland, Michigan with her husband, Al Brattset. She enjoys spending the summers on the boat with her family and friends.
Al Brattset is the illustrator of "They Call My Grandpa Captain". He began illustrating in 2012 after completing the "Great Loop". He wanted to share his love of boating with his grandchildren.
